Vaccination

Vaccinations for Adults

Medical advancements, especially in the field of preventive medicine, have allowed us to finally be a step ahead of disease.

Vaccinations deal a preemptive strike against would-be invading organisms by encouraging the human body to develop immunity to defend against these diseases, even before they have a chance to attack us. Some of these diseases are more likely to occur if we travel to certain parts of the world, and in some cases, vaccination is mandated before you are allowed to travel to certain countries.

Vaccination for adults include vaccines against debilitating, and even deadly, organisms such as influenza, pneumococcus, meningococcus, diphtheria, tetanus, et cetera. Some vaccinations have even proven to be effective in preventing specific cancers. Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines are a potent weapon in our fight against cervical cancer.

Some vaccinations are even included in the National Adult Immunisation Schedule, and all OneDoctors clinics are able to assist you in submitting Medisave claims under this Schedule, to defray your out-of-pocket cost for these vaccines.

Not sure what vaccinations you ought to be taking? Our doctors are on hand to recommend vaccinations tailored to you. (Please note that vaccinations are subject to stock availability)
